FPD is proud to welcome Coach Seth Semones to Viking Nation to serve as our new boys’ soccer coach. Coach Semones held the position of head women’s soccer coach at Wesleyan College from 2018-2021 and also coached Legion FC soccer from 2014-2024.
“We’re excited to have Coach Semones join our staff to lead the boys’ soccer program. He comes to us with positive recommendations and has already displayed a very keen sense of leading the program in a way that aligns with our mission,” Athletic Director Greg Moore said. “I think our boys’ team will grow and develop well under his leadership.”
From Warner Robins, Coach Semones graduated from Northside High School and Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in sports management. He looks forward to leading the boys’ soccer program.
“FPD has a united front on furthering the kingdom of the Lord through education and sport. This aligns so well with how I coach,” Coach Semones said.
“I feel I have the knowledge to push teams towards success on the field. However, my heart is to push players and families towards the Lord in all we do. FPD seems to represent the Lord well, and I am excited to be a part of that journey,” he added.
He and his wife, Kaylie, have a one-year-old son, Beckham. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, rock climbing, and hiking with his family.
Coach Semones and Coach Berkebile, the new girls’ soccer coach, have worked together before.
“I am thrilled to hear that Seth Semones has been hired as the boys varsity coach,” said Berkebile. “I had the pleasure of working with Seth at Wesleyan when I first started there, and I saw firsthand his knowledge as a coach and his ability to connect and build relationships with his players. I can’t wait to work with him in this new role to take the FPD soccer program to new levels of success.”
A time for team members and their families to meet Coach Semones will be announced soon.
