Congratulations to Kristen Kreutner, FPD’s Director of Innovation, Curriculum, and Instruction, who was named a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Outstanding Administrator of the Year. Mrs. Kreutner was one of only seventeen recipients worldwide. The award is presented to outstanding educational leaders who inspire, engage, and empower their students by creating transformative learning experiences.

PLTW is a non-profit organization that provides programs and resources to teachers to promote engaging, hands-on classroom activities. They encourage “activity-, project-, and problem-based (APB) instructional design” that helps students recognize how their skills can be applied to real-world scenarios.

Mrs. Kreutner joined the FPD team in June 2021 after previously serving as a principal at Northshore Christian Academy in Washington. She is recognized as a data-based, creative problem solver who values collaboration, innovation, and communication. Since arriving at FPD, Mrs. Kreutner has been actively engaged with FPD’s principals and faculty to continue enhancing FPD’s curriculum and academic opportunities.

“I’m honored to receive the PLTW Outstanding Administrator of the Year award,” noted Mrs. Kreunter. “I am an enthusiastic supporter of the hands-on, engaging academic programs. FPD has an exceptional academic foundation with many of these opportunities in place. I look forward to reviewing ways we can include more, including resources provided by PLTW, in our curriculum.”
